Following their romantic trip to Botswana, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be closer than ever to a big announcement. But while all seems well on the surface, Harry, 32, is said to be growing increasingly concerned over Meghan’s safety, and with recent reports that he’s been collecting Meghan directly from Heathrow Airport during her UK visits, the prince is said to be fuming.

‘Nothing makes Harry more protective of Meghan than when their secrets become public knowledge,’ explains a royal source. ‘Harry doesn’t want to be surrounded by bodyguards, but he’s accepted there is a real risk to his and Meghan’s safety. It’s why she’s being given an extra officer to ensure her safety at all times – something that’s usually only reserved for official members of the royal family. The last and only other time the rules were bent was for the Duchess of Cambridge after her engagement to Prince William.’
