She just gave birth, give the woman a break!
‘Utterly unrealistic’, ‘sinister’, ‘unrelatable’ and ‘inauthentic’ – did you see these words banded about regarding the Duchess of Cambridge last week? There was as much coverage about how she looked post-birth as there was pre-royal baby excitement. How did Prince William look? No, we’re not sure either. Funnily enough, he’s hardly been mentioned.
The focus wasn’t on the fifth in line to the throne (no matter how cute his little face is) but on Kate’s immediate fresh-faced appearance in that red Jenny Packham dress – opinions ranging from outrage that she dared look ‘perfect’ and pity that she had to put on a performance for the paps, to sadness that she wouldn’t step out without her blow-dry.
