Fans of New Ubin Seafood will be delighted to know that the zi char restaurant has teamed up with swish restaurant The Clifford Pier at Fullerton Bay hotel for the month of August. This means your fave zi char grub with a few new gourmet flourishes, in an atas setting. The quirky four-course dinner comes with views of the NDP fireworks, which will happen Aug 4 (rehearsal) and Aug 9. Book a table at the eatery’s alfresco deck, or if you prefer aircon, get one indoors closest to the tall windows to enjoy the best view of the sparkling sky. Dishes include New Ubin’s Egg Foie Gras paired with a truffle soy vinaigrette, their famous grilled Angus Beef Steak (served with truffle fries, created by Clifford Pier), Heart Attack Fried Rice, and an exclusive The Pier Hokkien Mee, inspired by New Ubin’s chef-owner Mr Pang Seng Meng’s memories of dining at the hawker stalls at the original Clifford Pier in which the swanky hotel now sits.
