MARCO PIERRE WHITE TO CAPTURE INDIA RESTAURANT SCENE

Dubbed the godfather of modern cooking, Marco Pierre White is a renowned chef, restaurateur and TV personality who has led the UK restaurant scene for over 30 years. With Black and White Hospitality, he is set to roll out his restaurant concepts across the globe. Elias Madbak, Managing Director, RMAL Hospitality, holder of worldwide rights for this chain, speaks about the brand’s global expansion plans and franchise strategy for India.

Could you elaborate about the recent achievements of Marco Pierre White?

We have a total of 62 restaurants in the UK and have recently added two restaurants in Abu Dhabi. In the UK, we have many franchisees which have expanded their relationship with us by opening multiple units. As we engage with hotel owners for our restaurants, a bustling Marco Pierre White restaurant gives them dual benefits of good sales as well as good occupancy in the hotel. We have witnessed over 6% YoY sales growth over the last 2-3 years. It’s not just about food but great food in a glamorous environment at affordable prices.

Who is your target audience and how do you club glamour with affordability?
