A Recession-Proof Luxury Opportunity

Who is not aware of the mastermind behind Ferns N Petals (FNP) Vikaas Gutgutia – who established FNP in 1994. The brand, till then, has established a new edge to the flower gifting culture in the country. Now, the who’s who of the entire country constitutes his clientele including celebs, top-notch industrialists and politicos, and the list is ever growing.

Today, FNP Group encompasses of FNP Retail & Franchising, FNP E-commerce - India & UAE, FNP Weddings & Events, Floral Touch - India & UAE, FNP Select, The Flagship Store by FNP, WDH (Wedding Design Hub), FNP Gardens and GBM (giftsbymeeta.com).

From a florist to wedding planner

In over two decades journey of FNP – from a florist to a complete wedding solution provider – there is no looking back.

Wedding is one such business that remains stable, irrespective of economic downturns, as it is once-in-a-lifetime event. The stable nature of, and rapid growth in this business was what prompted FNP to diversify into wedding planning over a decade ago.

Now, the rise in affluence has transformed the Indian wedding into a lavish affair. Every little thing from the venue to the decorations, to the food, has to be the best. Gutgutia sensed this opportunity and launched another luxury venue called Ambience Golf Drive last year – which comprises of two venues, The Ritz and The Riviera. While The Ritz has a readymade design set-up and is fully air conditioned, The Riviera has lush green open space which can be customized according to the client’s preference.
