DARE TO GO
Construction Week
|August 2021
Our Indian CE players have provided customised equipment to work in some of the most daunting projects within the country. Only goes to prove that India is well on her way to create some extraordinary milestones
India is building some of the most extravagant and formidable infrastructure projects. Complex, daunting and going to places that seemed Herculean earlier, we have built roads 10,000 ft up in the Himalayas and made connectivity to remote areas possible. All this requires some brilliant engineering, equipment, and the wherewithal to make them happen.
In this issue, Construction Week looks at some of the equipment players that have provided or customized equipment to construct some challenging projects. Everyone has shown up well at the end of the day.
ACTION CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT (ACE)
Continuing its passion for innovation in material handling, Action Construction Equipment (ACE) introduced a multiactivity piling crane model FP210 that can do piling activity like cage handling, lowering, concreting & casing removal other than normal loading/unloading. This is the first time where piling is handled through a tire-mounted crane and the company feels that this will change the manner piling is done.
The ACE FP210 was employed at landmark projects across the country, some of which are:
• Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) Metro project Phase IV where it conducted trials at KEC DC-01 site and the crane is being deployed in the project. At this site, the crane has lowered 12m sections of the cage in the bore which is of 1200mm diameter and 36-40m depth. Supports in the welding of the lapping sections and lowers the complete 36-40m sections. FP210 Crane through its auxiliary winch is able to do the complete concreting through the ‘jerking motion’. Casing removal is also done with the help of the crane.
