Roche- Connecting dots for diabetes relief

At the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) Congress 2019 held from December 2 – 6, 2019 in Busan, Korea, Swiss multinational healthcare company Roche showcased few innovative digital solutions to address and manage the growing burden of diabetes globally. Roche Diabetes Care has been pioneering innovative diabetes technologies and services for more than 40 years.

A recent application by Roche Diabetes Care, on display at the IDF 2019 exhibition, was ACCU-CHEK SugarView. It is currently undergoing a pre-launch preview in India. Another product on display was the Accu Chek Solo micropump system that allows for convenience and personalisation in insulin pump therapy while contributing to a more targeted and effective diabetes management. The product was officially launched in 2018 and is currently available in many countries but yet to be launched in India and China, that are most affected by diabetes.

The RocheDiabetes Care platform was also exhibited at the event. This platform offers a lot of convenience to the healthcare providers on handling patient care with less time sorting through endless data. It was launched in March 2019 and is yet to reach the Indian market. Currently, the platform in available in Philippines, Spain, Portugal, France and Brazil. Adding to the list was Eversense Continuous Glucose Monitoring System also on display that offers a long-term continuous glucose monitor for diabetes management.
