Simpson Sells Sanlorenzo Sx88 Into Asia

SIMPSON MARINE has sold the first Sanlorenzo crossover yacht into Asia, with an SX88 expected to arrive at its new home in Singapore in the middle of 2019. The buyer is a first-time Sanlorenzo owner.

SIMPSON MARINE has sold the first Sanlorenzo ‘crossover’ yacht into Asia, with an SX88 expected to arrive at its new home in Singapore in the middle of 2019. The buyer is a first-time Sanlorenzo owner.

The world premiere of the 27m motor yacht (Spotlight, Mar/Apr 2018) was held at last year’s Cannes Yachting Festival and at least 15 units had been sold less than a year later. Its smaller sister, the SX76, will have its world premiere at Cannes this year and had already sold 11 units by mid-August.

The SX88 is the first of the Italian yard’s crossover yachts, combining the designs of a flybridge yacht and the increasingly popular explorers in a distinctively sleek, stylish and modern exterior by Officina Italiana Design, with a hull by American Lou Codega.
