The Volvo XC60 bags the overall 2018 World Car of the Year award. Winners in other categories include the Audi A8, BMW M5, Nissan Leaf, Ranger Rover Velar and Volkswagen Polo.

The winners of the 2018 World Car Awards were announced at the New York Motor show, and it’s the Volvo XC60 that’s driven away with top honours.
The XC60 bagged the World Car of the Year award – a first for any Volvo product. In other categories, the Audi A8 scooped the World Luxury Car title, while the BMW M5 took the Performance Car of the Year award. The new Nissan Leaf won the 2018 Green Car of the Year, while the jurors named the Range Rover Velar the design of the Year. The 2018 World Urban Car accolade went to the new Volkswagen Polo.
