Bold Audi Q8 Turns On The Style

Muscular new coupé-SUV revealed as flagship in range, to sit alongside Q7

AUDI has added an all-new model to its SUV line-up – the Q8. It’s the sister vehicle to the Q7 and a new entry in the popular coupé-SUV sector.

The Q8 is 4,986mm long – so it’s about 66mm shorter than the Q7 – but it shares that car’s wheelbase and is longer overall than both of its obvious rivals, the BMW X6 and Mercedes GLE Coupé, as well as the Range Rover Sport. It’s also 27mm wider than the Q7 and this, along with a lower roof line, gives the new arrival a more aggressive, sporty stance.

There will be a single engine choice in the initial Q8 range, a 3.0-litre V6 diesel – badged Q8 50 TDI – which will have 282bhp and 600Nm for a 0-62mph time of 6.3 seconds and a 144mph top speed.
