I’ve lived in Derby all my life but moved to Stafford 6 months ago. I’ve been painting for nearly 2 years and only started painting at the ripe old age of 58. I started painting after I broke my shoulder in an offroad motorbike accident which I used to do in the winter months. So I decided I needed a hobby to keep me busy over winter. In the summer I still use my road bike. I was flicking around Youtube and came across some airbrush videos.
I was amazed at the results people were getting and decided to give it a go. I fell in love with it instantly.
I work full time but paint in my spare time i.e. evenings and weekends. A few months in I started to get friends and family asking me to paint their pets. So far I’ve painted 25-30 commissions.
I aim for realism although some paintings have been more successful than others, haha.
