Andy “Pooch” Cappuccio is a professional sign painter specializing in hand lettering, pinstriping, gold leaf, custom signing and airbrush art. Pinstriping since 1966, he is a founding member of the Pinheads and one of the original artists in the Mack Brush Pinstripers Hall of Fame. Pooch has won multiple awards and his artwork has been featured in numerous magazines including Signs of the Times, Auto Art, Airbrush the Magazine, American Trucker and many more. Pooch shares his story below…
I began airbrushing on model cars when I was 14 and that developed into my passion for hot rod art. At 16 a fellow car club member bought me a pinstriping brush and I had no clue what to do with it. I was fortunate at that time to meet my mentor and friend to this day: Mr J. I have now been at it for 54 years specializing in hand lettering, pinstriping, golf leaf and airbrush art.
