Non-resident was a series of portraits for the camera, in which I painted five paintings over five days for a duration of three hours each day.

THE FACE AND ITS PHASES

Madhavi Gore. Non-resident. Photo-performance. Photography collaborator Christina Zück. 2012. Image courtesy of the artist.

Every day the application varied as I aimed to break the symmetry of the face, and reveal an altered self-image in an act of self-transformation. Besides my own gaze upon myself in the mirror reflection, the only other witness was the lens of artist Christina Zück, who agreed to collaborate with me to photograph the process.
