Aksaray’ın Gülağaç ilçesinde, Hasan Dağı ile Melendiz Çayı arasında yer alan Aşıklı Höyük, Orta Anadolu’nun bilinen en eski köyü. 10 bin 500 yıllık tarihe sahip Aşıklı Höyük, avcı toplayıcı dönemden yerleşik tarım düzenine geçişin hemen her aşamasının izlenebildiği bir kazı alanı. İlk beyin ameliyatının yapılması, koyun ve keçinin ilk kez evcilleştirilmesi gibi pek çok ilkin de yaşandığı bir arkeolojik yerleşim yeri.
