Autocar India completes fifteen years this month and we've got quite an issue for you. Supercars, premium hatchbacks, off-roaders, adventure bikes, we've got them all. Mercedes is entering the compact luxury SUV race with its soon-to-launch GLA-class and we drive it exclusively. Fiat is bringing in a new crossover, the Avventura, which we take for a spin to see whether it's more than just a Punto Evo in a strongman suit. And there is also Lamborghini's Gallardo successor, the Huracán, one of the carmaker's most significant launches in recent times. Not only do we drive it on Indian roads to see how it fares but also, we take this extreme machine and place it next to the Indian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet. You read that right, a fighter jet! We drive the new Hyundai i20, which gets a new look among other things, and pit it against rival premium hatchbacks. Jaguar's F-type R coupé was with us for a full week and we've put in an account of life with the car in Mumbai. We also took it to meet its direct ancestor, the E-type. It was quite a glorious family meet. There's also some features that would help you figure how much expense would be involved in maintaining a supercar or where you could buy a used one. Luxury diesel sedans – the Merc S-class, Audi A8, Jaguar XJ and BMW 7-series – face off in a sophisticated tussle. And Narain Karthikeyan gets his hands on this year's best performance cars around the Sriperumbudur track in Chennai. Triumph's Tiger 800XC seems like it would do great on our roads and we were quick to get into the saddle to check that out. All this and a lot more in the fifteenth anniversary issue of Autocar India.
