Peace and Reconciliation Network of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia, along with its Nodal Agency, Loyola Institute of Peace and International Relations (LIPI), Kochi, has launched the first issue of the online Magazine: PAX LUMINA: A Quest for Peace and Reconciliation.

This is brought out with a view to promoting Peace and Reconciliation worldwide with a South Asian Perspective. In fact, we are highly privileged to have an array of eminent scholars, writers and peace practitioners in our Advisory/Editorial Board.

The question before us is simple yet profound: how should we, as a community committed to peace, engage it? This issue of Pax Lumina is a humble attempt to explore that question. In his Message for the 57th World Day of Peace dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Peace, Pope Francis emphasized that technology must be understood as a socio-technical system — shaped by human intentions, cultural conditions, and political structures. He warned of the dangers of disinformation, surveillance, algorithmic bias, and digital exclusion. These risks are already visible.
