In the editorial, Dr. Chackochan Njavallil shares the joy of encountering group of young missionaries who are ready to sacrifice for the cause of the Kingdom of God. In the cover story, Dr. Nycil Rajesh tells the story of Jinto and Annu who have taken the firm decision to stay as a missionary family, thereby transferring the most unfavorable conditions into a blessing for many. Kairos also pays tribute to the first Ecclesiastical Advisor of Jesus Youth movement, late Nagpur Archbishop, Rev. Abraham Viruthakulangara. Article written by Manoj Sunny shares the most beautiful memories and moments which he had with the Archbishop. Panning through various articles that talks about the main idea, “commitment”, we find the write-ups by Sr. Soja Maria discussing about the commitment that one should have to oneself, Shaji Vaikkathuparambil defining commitment and giving tips on how to be committed, Amal Tom talking about bringing back the lost commitment and so on. In Daivathinte Maunam, Sasi Emmanuel talks about the “use and throw” culture in the modern world and discusses how even God is viewed in the same way. Adv. K.J. Johnson gives us the guidelines on how to accept the shortcomings of the life partner. Interview with V.P Joseph shows the importance of praying for others i.e. the power of intercession. Kairos is purely a youth initiative for the youth. It is being published from 1977 onwards. It is a group of young people from Calicut who initiated it. From 1998 onwards, it is being published under the sponsorship of Kerala Jesus Youth. Personal Experiences of Youth, Lifestyle Guides, Discussions, Opinions, Church News, Responses to Current Events, Jesus Youth News, Youth-centric Insights and much more – all this put together in a light and simple manner that can be instantly recognized as the ‘Kairos style’. It is the only youth and teenage communication in Malayalam with a focus on the Church. Kairos helps thousands of youth form relevant responses and lifestyles in today’s world based on the Church’s teachings through simple sharing of spiritual experiences by young people. Brings together young people endeavoring to live a life of faith in Jesus.
