COVID-19, which has been disastrous for the retail industry all over the world, proved to be just the impetus the food and grocery segment needed to surge ahead. After the pandemic hit, grocers andCPG retailers experienced huge demand from a rapidly growing base of consumers – many of whom are expected to purchase from them even after the pandemic is over. From mobile apps to manage inventory & store operations, adoption of self-checkout counters, contactless payment and endless aisles to data analytics and insights technology is steadily becoming the backbone of the Indian food and grocery industry today.
