Christmas in 2022 was very different for the Royal Family as it was the first festive season they had celebrated since Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away. It also marked the first broadcast of a King’s Speech in over 70 years!
In St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the committal service of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, was held, King Charles recorded his eight-minute 2022 Christmas message to the nation.
In it, His Majesty paid tribute to his mother and addressed the cost of living crisis gripping the nation, alongside footage of food banks and meals being distributed to the needy.
