I am constantly inspired by the reader homes we feature on these pages, and one of the things I most enjoy is hearing their stories; from the journey of finding their houses to how they turned it into their dream property, or even a ‘for now’ pad. And, of course, I love seeing the final results. One of my favourites this month is Siobhan and Joe’s clever renovation of their 1960s ex-council house. The transformation is nothing less than amazing, and they are now enjoying open-plan living, while still embracing the period of their property. Find it on page 14. We all love a good before and after, and I’m sure Britt’s kitchen on page 88 will impress. By keeping the same layout, and adding new cupboard fronts, tiles and worktops it just goes to show that it’s possible to get a space that you love without using up all of your savings! Elsewhere we have a guide to adding colour, don’t worry this includes monochrome schemes as well as warmer and cooler shades, if like me you’re a little colour shy! See page 75. Florals are always a spring/summer staple, and we’ve found the all-new wallpapers and fabrics which will make a statement on page 63. In food, we have delicious weeknight dinners, vegan recipes, plus sweet berry desserts. Find it from page 115.
