Wales is never less than a magical place to go for a green lane run. And when it’s your first visit since lockdown, it’s more magical than ever.
We headed for Powys this month to set out a roadbook that includes several iconic rights of way. Black Yatt, Giant’s Grave, Lower Claerwen… it’s a classic. And it felt SO good to be out there again. This issues also contains a full test of the newly revised Toyota Landcruiser, and we’ve also driven an oddity in the shape of the Ford Transit Connect Active – basically, a panel van with SUV styling.
And we’ve got a travel story from a nation seldom visited by British overlanders. Mexico is the first stop for most US expeditions, for fairly obvious reasons, but it’s a little known destination for Brits. Our correspondents’ verdict? It’s a secret worth finding out.
