I first fell in love with travel when we decamped from London to the Isle of Wight each summer, taking a ferry across the Solent for three weeks of crab catching, rock-scrambling, mud fights, ice creams, and swimming until our fingers and toes looked like prunes. It may just have been a 45-minute ferry hop from Portsmouth, but the Isle of Wight came with so much magic and mystery it could have been the other side of the world for all I knew or cared. It was on those long, languid, fun-filled family holidays that a love for adventure – near or far – was solidified.

This month is dedicated to that unbridled, unhindered, unrelenting love of travel. The kind that makes our hearts beat harder.

We spend 48 hours in Tokyo exploring the city’s contrast of old and new, where tradition and technology collide, and two nights in Vienna to uncover the history behind its spires, spas, shoemakers and chandeliers.

I’m sure you won’t have missed the grand-slam opening weekend of Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, for which we were lucky enough to steal a front-row seat. Come with us as we take you on a tour through the doors of the city’s hottest new hotel.

What were your first travel memories or what made you first fall in love with exploring the world? Email me or DM us on Instagram – I’d love to hear your stories!
