Actress Linda Evans celebrates her 80th birthday this week, and the Dynasty icon has never been more content or at peace than she is now, living far away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood.

The beloved TV star, who played Krystle Carrington on the popular soap, is enjoying life on her sprawling 70-acre ranch on a lake in Washington state, where she now lives with her nephew and stepdaughter Sean Derek.

"After nearly a decade on Dynasty, I was ready for a change," Linda confesses to Woman's Day. "I made the move because I had no time for myself and my life was far from private."

Linda was married to actor-director John Derek from 1968 to 1974, and she was devastated when he announced he'd fallen in love with then-17-year-old Bo Collins [who would become Bo Derek] and was leaving her for the young actress.

"At the time I was crushed," she said. "But eventually I moved on and Bo and I became friends. I also developed friendships with John's other wives, Pati Behrs - mother of his two children and actress Ursula Andress."

From 1975 to 1979, Linda was married to realtor Stan Herman, then she dated a string of men for the next 10 years until 1989, when she fell in love with new-age musician Yanni, who was 12 years her junior.
