Wandering wallaby leaves RSPCA rescuers with questions for owner

A RARE albino wallaby has been rescued by the RSPCA after it was found injured and wandering along the coast near Dover.
A member of the public found the male marsupial hiding in some bushes in Elms Vale Road at Hougham on Sunday, April 27. The RSPCA was contacted and dispatched an officer from one of its specialist teams to help catch the wallaby, who had suffered cuts and abrasions to his face.
The animal, which may have been loose for several days, is not microchipped. After being rescued he was placed with a private boarding establishment. The RSPCA is now looking to speak with the owner to establish under what conditions and in what type of enclosure the wallaby is being kept.
