'Humiliating' sketch that made Dawn quit French and Saunders

DAWN French has revealed that she quit her hit TV comedy show with Jennifer Saunders after one sketch left her "humiliated" and in tears.
The pals scrapped the BBC's French and Saunders in 2008 after Dawn, now 66, performed a skit with US singer Anastacia dressed as a cowgirl.
Dawn told a new BBC documentary that a costume designer "fell on her back laughing" when she came out in cowgirl clothes.
She added: "I looked in the mirror and I thought 'Yes, this isn't it, this isn't what Anastacia looks like.' "But instead of finding it funny, I just thought 'Oh, I don't like it.' "It just felt like I wasn't in control of the comedy. The joke was on me. I hadn't controlled it in any way."
