Nqobile Khwezi's quest for glory
GQ South Africa
|March - April 2025
The one to look out for on Tropika Island, this multifaceted star has been raising the bar as a SuperSport presenter, brand strategist, model and influencer
You've made an indelible mark in fields like TV, modeling and sports presenting. How do you balance these diverse roles and stay organised?
Balancing TV presenting, modeling and sports presenting requires discipline and good time management. There's no perfect balance, but I prioritise and stay flexible. I plan my days with a detailed calendar for shoots, events and work, while leaving room for spontaneity. Setting boundaries between work and personal time helps me stay recharged and creative. I stay organised, focus on one task at a time and delegate when needed. My strong support system, which includes my team and family, keeps me grounded. Ultimately, it's about passion and finding joy in everything I do.
How do you work through the challenges of being a woman in a multifaceted career?
Challenges have been inevitable, but I've always seen them as opportunities for growth. Overcoming societal stereotypes in male-dominated fields like sports presenting has been tough, but professionalism and hard work have earned me respect. Balancing the pressure to always perform perfectly hasn't been easy and I've learned it's okay to admit that. Resilience has been my anchor; I manage criticism, public perception and setbacks by staying focused on my passion and growth. Trusting the process and seeking support have kept me grounded as I push forward.
Winning the Style Star Award at the 2023 Momentum gSport Awards is a major milestone. How has this recognition impacted you?
