Almost 30 years after the original Jurassic Park broke box-office records in 1993, three of the film’s stars, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern, reunited for the latest instalment in the dinosaur saga, Jurassic World Dominion.

Goldblum, 69, who plays wisecracking mathematician Ian Malcolm in the franchise, describes the chance to act alongside his co-stars once more as “a fantastic experience, nostalgic and a remembrance-fest”.

Still as full of wonder and excitement about his work now as when he started his career in the early 1970s, Goldblum admits to also being “alert” about his latest performance. “Just as alert as I’ve ever been to try not to disappoint anybody, let myself down, let the fans down after all this time,” he says. “It’s a sister of nervousness – alert. I feel like I’m more relaxed at this point, have some confidence, but the same kind of, ‘Gee, I hope this works.’”

The Emmy-nominated actor is kept on his toes personally as well as professionally by his two young sons, Charlie, 7, and River, 5, with his third wife, Emilie.
