AS CROWDS LINE THE STREETS TO CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE GRANDEUR PRINCE ABDUL MATEEN OF BRUNEI MARRIES YANG MULIA ANISHA ROSNAH IN A SPECTACULAR TEN-DAY CELEBRATION

In a magnificent ten-day celebration, Prince Abdul Mateen of Brunei married Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, joined by fellow royals and heads of state from across Asia.
Exchanging loving glances and shy smiles, the bride and groom walked down the aisle in the spectacular royal throne hall at Istana Nurul Iman, which is the official residence of the Sultan and the largest residential palace in the world.
Anisha, 29, whose grandfather is a royal adviser, was elegant in a long-sleeved ivory gown from Dior, accessorised with a diamond necklace and a small bouquet created in precious metal and gems.
Holding back her veil was a stunning tiara from her sister-in-law Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah, created by Singapore jeweller Flower Diamond for her wedding last year. The opulent diamond piece features subtle links to the emblem of Brunei, including a swallowtail flag, royal parasol, wings to symbolise justice, and a crescent.
Prestige Pawnbrokers gemologist Alexandra Michell, from Channel 4’s Posh Pawn, tells hello!. “The 838 diamonds totalling 132 carats, set in white gold, was designed as an easy-to-wear tiara, but with an impressive effect. I would estimate the value to be upwards of £10m.”
Crowds lined the streets to catch a glimpse of the grandeur of the event as the newlyweds waved from an open-top Rolls-Royce.
In keeping with tradition, there was a packed schedule of events in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan.
