Test fleet: VOGE 525 DSX

After testing the Voge's abilities on a long ride, it was time to take it to the Cotswolds and see how it would manage on the rougher stuff

I was offered the chance to go to the Cotswolds with Ross for a couple of days, so jumped at the chance for the three-and-a-half-hour journey from HQ to the beautiful scenery of the Cotswolds.

Unsurprisingly, the Voge handled the roads and motorways with ease. The added weight, again of no concern to the 500cc engine. I found myself following Ross as we explored smaller back roads and tracks. These smaller, single-track roads were my first taste of what was to come. The roads often sporting some stones, moss, and other less bike-friendly surfaces. But even with my lack of experience on these surfaces the Voge did not let me down, easily floating over the rough terrain as we explored the back ways and routes of the Cotswolds.

My new budget CST Ambros tyres took it all in their stride as well, giving me plenty of confidence to up my speed a little in places where I normally would not.

My first sign of how far off the beaten track we really were was when I saw a road sign warning travellers to look out for adders in the area!
