Country music legend Trisha Yearwood catches up with Woman's World about her favorite Easter traditions, her newest career adventure at age 60 and her heartfelt secrets to finding joy, peace and hope

- By Deborah Evans Price

"It's never too late to dream!"

Over the past four decades, Trisha Yearwood has been beloved by millions for her work as a Grammy Award-winning singer, Emmy-winning chef and bestselling author. But now the country star has added yet another accomplishment to her already impressive résumé: songwriter. “I turned 60 last September, and it’s never too late to start something new—it just might change your life,” Trisha tells Woman's World. “I'm enjoying the songwriting process. Writing has been so fulfilling. It made me think, Okay, what's the next big adventure going to be?”

As we move into spring, a time of hope and new beginnings, Trisha looks back on fond memories of growing up in Monticello, Georgia. “We always had ham at Easter and decorated eggs,” she recalls. “When I was a kid, my mom would poke the ends of a raw egg with a toothpick, get all the insides out and let them dry. She’d then give us those eggs to dye, and we'd decorate them with ball-point pens. My mom kept them in an egg carton and brought them out every Easter!” Here, Trisha’s secrets to finding the joy, strength and peace already inside you.
