Beloved for her roles on Roswell, Rescue Me and now the CBS hit series Fire Country, Diane Farr, 55, is a master at bringing strong, heroic female characters to life. And it's clear that the motorcycle-riding mama of three reflects the same confident, open-hearted spirit in her own life. Here, Diane's keys to fueling joy, finding peace and doing something a little 'wild'.

"Every day is a new adventure!"

Diane Farr was bitten by the wanderlust bug at just 7 years old. “I was looking at issues of National Geographic with my grandmother and I knew I was going to walk all around the Earth,” Diane tells Woman’s World. Today, the busy actress who’s been lighting up our TV screens since the 1990s, has visited over 100 countries and every continent except Antarctica.

“Traveling is good for your brain,” insists Diane, who takes her kids to two countries and two states every year. On this year’s trip to Uganda, Africa, Diane and her twin girls, Sawyer and Coco, 16, combined fun with goodwill, delivering over 5,000 feminine hygiene products to women through the nonprofit Energy In Action. “Service work is always fulfilling. But women helping women is a whole other kind of feeling.”

Here, Diane shares her secrets to living with passion, and purpose and finding new heart-pounding adventures after age 50!

With Fire Country returning to CBS on October 18, Diane teases, “I’m so proud of the true-life experiences the writers are bringing for my character, Sharon, this season! She has a crisis coming that I have lived with myself, and she runs right at it the way she does a fire—the way I try to do in my life. I hope ultimately the story inspires others to ask for help when they need it.”

Reflecting on some of her hardest life experiences—including facing down a stalker in 2008, overcoming cervical cancer in 2016 and then struggling with infertility for a decade—Erin admits she didn't want to face the fear and heartache at first. \"I just went back on the field because I loved my job,\" she tells Woman's World. \"Work became a mask for me—a way to focus on something I loved while life felt chaotic.\"
