Prakashi Tomar

At 62, Prakashi Tomar embarked on a journey few could imagine, let alone undertake. Living in a patriarchal society, she dared to redefine age and gender norms. With an indomitable spirit, she mastered the art of shooting-an unconventional pursuit for women in her village.

Supported by her daughter, Seema, she became a symbol of resilience, earning the nickname "Revolver Dadi" and inspiring countless others to challenge societal expectations.

Here is an insightful interview with the inspiring trailblazer, Prakashi Tomar:

What made you start shooting at the age of 62?

My journey began because of my daughter, Seema Tomar. She wanted to learn shooting, so my granddaughter, Ruby Tomar used to take both of us to the shooting range. What started as support for my daughter soon turned into my passion.

What was the hardest part about learning to shoot?
