There are other, less obvious, foods that could play havoc with your health if you have certain conditions. 1 Citrus fruit

If you have... MIGRAINES

Oranges, lemons, limes and grapefruit contain compounds including octopamine, tyramine and citric acid. These can cause vessels to widen and release histamine, which can trigger migraines if you're prone to them, says dietician Lola Biggs at Together Health*. This inflammation may initiate a migraine attack by triggering the vagus nerve - one of the largest nerves in your body that runs between your brainstem and abdomen.
