realise Air New Zealand's been taking heat about its staffing shortages and lost baggage. I was on the side of those complaining. Yet, recently, I witnessed the sort of classic service I reckon made our national airline unique.
I was taking an Air New Zealand domestic flight home to Wellington from Auckland.
It was an 8.30pm flight, the last back to the capital. The plane was a decent-sized Airbus, pretty much full.
