VOLVO C40 RECHARGE EV

MAKES INDIA DEBUT, LAUNCH IN AUGUST

Following the XC40 Recharge SUV, which was introduced last year, Volvo today announced the C40 Recharge coupe-SUV in India. The C40 Recharge will be on sale in August, with online reservations opening shortly after and delivery starting in September, according to the manufacturer.

EXCEPTIONAL COUPE LOOKS

With the exception of its back, where the roofline has a coupe-like finish and a sharply slanted rear windscreen, the C40 Recharge resembles its SUV sibling, the XC40 Recharge, in terms of appearance. 

This prompted a modification of the tail gate and taillamp arrangement. Here, the taillamps are significantly thinner, have a broader wraparound look, and receive new rear lights. Instead than being a continuous strip like they are on the XC40 Recharge, the LED light components are separated towards the top, next to the windscreen. In contrast to the SUV, the C40 Recharge’s tailboard has LEDs that extend into it as well, and the whole design gives the vehicle’s rear a significantly larger stance.
