This issue goes on sale a few days before Black Friday officially starts on 28 November, but leading smartphone maker Honor has already announced some great discounts on its powerful smartphones for photography. The main Honor store for the UK is at honor.com.

Honor Magic 7 Pro

This flagship phone is an excellent choice for photography, featuring a 50MP main camera with f/1.4-f/2.0 self-adjusting aperture and optical image stabilisation (OIS), along with a 50MP, f/2 ultra-wide camera and a 50MP f/2 front or ‘selfie’ camera.

But the real star of the show here is the far-reaching telephoto camera, based around a 200MP 1/1.4in telephoto sensor. You also get a fast aperture of f/2.6, OIS, 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, so it is fantastic for capturing distant detail. With the innovative AI SuperZoom feature, which is activated when you go past 30x zoom, far-away subjects come a lot closer. Distance really is no object.

The Honor Magic 7 Pro is also a great choice for portrait photographers. In addition to Al editing tools for improving clarity and bokeh in your people shots, you get access to the Harcourt portrait modes, named after the famous Parisian studio.
