Sex assault victim wanted to end her life after attack

A WOMAN was left feeling suicidal and attended a bridge on two occasions with an intention of ending her own life after she was sexually assaulted.

She described her life being in “turmoil” and feeling “sick to her stomach” after her assailant denied his offences.
David Walsh, 41, of Cardiff, assaulted his victim after she had passed out from drinking alcohol.
A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court heard the victim made a complaint to the police and the defendant was arrested.
He denied the offences, claiming the victim had made up or “exaggerated” the allegations.
