BRAND new services could be created on the A303 near Yeovil if new plans are approved.
Motorists wishing to take a break near Yeovil currently have access to the Cartgate Lodge Cafe, toilets and picnic area, accessed off the Cartgate roundabout between Yeovil and Martock.
Welcome Break Services Ltd the company which is delivering new services at junction 24 of the M5 near Bridgwater has now applied to create a more modern and expansive services west of the existing site, with several food outlets and two drive-thrus. Somerset Council is expected to make a decision on the plans by Christmas and if approved, they could bring up to 90 jobs to the local area.
