AT the time of writing, it is currently just a few days before the start of Glastonbury. We will once again be attending along with lots of others, hopefully getting a chance to see Rod Stewart, the Bootleg Beatles, Sam Ryder and one of our favourite groups Snow Patrol together with plenty of other well-known names.
We have always been interested in music events and over the years have had the chance to be present at some amazing concerts.
Many years ago, in our youth we would often attend James Last events joining the orchestra on stage for a sing along. However as our music repertoire grew, we started to develop a flavour for other genres.
‘These led to an incredible Elton John concert, his Red Piano Tour which took place back in 2008 in Birmingham. When we arrived at the venue, we were rather disappointed by the seats which were just behind an array of cables. A quick visit to the box office and these were replaced with two, four or five rows from the front. The photographs were amazing, and the event was quite spectacular. Other memorable concerts include one at Glastonbury Abbey when Sir Cliff Richard appeared (my mum knew one of his sisters!) and also another more recent one starring Madness.
