Former police officer spared jail term after stalking his ex

FORMER police officer used police systems to track and stalk his former partner.
Ex-Wiltshire PC Andrew Edwards admitted to conducting 27 searches using police systems, while on and off duty, upon his ex, her male friends, and her new partner without a lawful policing purpose.
He also attended her home address, on and off duty, on 31 occasions, and asked colleagues to research her social media as he had been blocked from viewing it.
Appearing before Bristol Crown Court, Edwards, 31, from Chippenham pleaded guilty to offences of stalking and misconduct in public office after using police systems to stalk his ex-girlfriend and her new partner.
