THE South West & Wales Baseball League resumed for Taunton Baseball Club on Sunday, with the Muskets hosting the Wellington Khaki Sox at Taunton Green however the Pistols’ clash with the Plymouth Mariners was postponed.

The double-header in Taunton produced two competitive games, with the team splitting the results. Muskets won game one 4-3, before the Khaki Sox took game two 7-2.

Despite being separated by just one junction on the M5, this was the first competitive meeting between the sides since the Khaki Sox were formed in 2021.

Game one was certainly a tense affair, with neither side giving an inch. A dominant display from Andres Bianco kept the Khaki Sox off the scoreboard until the seventh inning, as he struck out eight and only allowed six hits.
