Dr Rowan Williams joined church leaders, including bishops and other members of the clergy, in denouncing what the group termed Christian nationalist narrative which they say is the antithesis of the values of their religion.

In a statement, Dr Williams said it was the “height of injustice” to hold communities responsible for crimes committed by individuals.

His comments come ahead of Remembrance Day where people from the Commonwealth will be commemorated among all those who fought for Britain.
