Shake-up could take oats off prison menus

A MOVE to make jail food much more interesting could mean there will be a lot less porridge for prisoners.

New guidance says catering teams should try to avoid serving cons the same dishes more than once a month – so it’s likely they won't be getting as many oats for breakfast behind bars.

Protected groups, such as transgender prisoners and different religious communities, must be given special provisions.
