She must answer questions about tot's death for first time in parole bid

THE mum of tortured Baby P will be forced to give her first public account of the tot's death as she makes a fresh bid for freedom.

Tracey Connelly is making efforts to be released months after she was thrown back into prison for breaching licence conditions.

The 44-year-old was jailed indefinitely for public protection in 2009 for causing or allowing the death of the 17-month-old in 2007.

A trial heard Peter was horrifically abused while living with his mum and her lover Steven Barker, and died after suffering more than 50 injuries.

Connelly has always refused to answer questions about the boy's death and did not give evidence at the trial.
