Music and film star vows to stick up for gal pals

She famously sang We Can't Be Friends, but Ariana Grande is all about girl power when it comes to her gal pals.

Instead of backstabbing or making catty comments, the music, stage and film superstar says she is going to fly the flag for her female counterparts.

Following in the footsteps of Taylor Swift, who has long been an advocate for women in music, Ariana calls out any suggestions that strong ladies are "divas".

"I think there is a different expectation on us, especially for younger women," she says.

"And if we speak out about treatment we have received, we can be labelled a diva. That's why it is so important, as women, that we keep supporting and speaking out for each other."
