Xi Sensing An Opportunity For China In Trump-Musk Clash

After a long spell of frustration at the numerous pinpricks that have been suffered as a consequence of tough measures by the Trump administration against China, CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping is sensing an opportunity in the public and vitriolic feud between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, formerly his closest aide. The feud was triggered by an all-out attack by Musk on the "Big Beautiful (Spending) Bill" now awaiting approval in the US Senate. If the bill gets passed, as seems likely, it would blow to smithereens many of the numerous budget cuts recommended by DOGE. Were the DOGE cuts to pass the US House and Senate, the measure would create a firestorm of protest even within Republican voters, as several would lose entitlements that some have been enjoying for decades. It is probable that several members of the US Congress may have warned President Trump, getting him to backtrack and more, even recommending an end to the Budget deficit enjoined by existing law. Trump has submitted a record number of budget allocations, a figure not matched earlier by any previous President of the US. He has spoken of a trillion dollar rebate to billionaires, a move which would be seen as benefiting a small number of taxpayers (including himself) at the cost of less privileged tax paying citizens. In Tesla, Musk reports only to himself, whereas the US President has to report to tens of millions of voters. Small wonder that he did an about-turn on the DOGE cuts, followed by the exit of Musk from the White House as well as from the US Government subsequently.
