The Uttar Pradesh Government has launched a major state-wide verification drive under the National Old Age Pension Scheme to promote transparency and fairness in welfare distribution. The initiative will verify the records of around 61 lakh senior citizens to ensure that only eligible individuals continue receiving benefits. By removing duplicate, deceased, and ineligible beneficiaries, the drive aims to improve the system's integrity and create opportunities for new deserving applicants.
