Police step up patrols in country park
A WARNING has been issued about the dangers of swimming in open water after three children were seen in a lake where a man drowned.
Police were alerted to the trio who had entered The Void at Silverdale Country Park at 6.45pm on Tuesday as temperatures hit 25C. Officers went to the scene and gave 'strong words of advice' to the group before they got out and left the area.
