AN abusive son refused to pay his mum board - before spitting at her, grabbing her throat and pushing her on a bed.

Joseph Brown, aged 22, then shoved her back on the bed when she got up.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard he then picked up a butter knife and pointed it at his mum before throwing it on the floor. Now Brown, inset, has been jailed for five months which led to his immediate release from custody as he has served that time on remand.
