Residents back plans for gates to stop addicts using alley behind their homes

FAMILIES plagued by anti-social behaviour and 'dustheads' have welcomed plans for gates to stop access to their alley.

Drug addicts are often in the alley behind Broomhill Street in Tunstall.

Now Stoke-on-Trent City Council wants to spend Levelling Up funding to fit the gates.

Resident Sandy Moss, aged 37, said: "We need the gates. I put a fence at the back of my house to stop the dustheads from coming through. They still pushed it down. They tried breaking into my back garden.
